Why We’re Running a BETA Round for Our New Leather Bookbinding Online Course

We’re offering our leather bookbinding online course at $150 instead of the full price of $297. Not because anything is missing. Because this is the first time we’ve run it as a structured course, and we want to get it right.

What a BETA round actually means

A BETA round isn’t a discount for the sake of a discount. It means a smaller cohort, direct access to Simon through our community, and a genuine two-way exchange: you get the workshop at a reduced price, and we get real students working through the material for the first time giving us real feedback, not guesswork.

Every workshop and online course we’ve done has started this way. The beginner’s course was refined by the people who took it first. The leather course is getting the same process.

Why we’re doing this

Honestly: it’s the first 'online' run of this workshop, and we want students who will tell us what’s working and what isn’t. Leather binding has more variables than paper or cloth and the only way to know if the course explains it well is to watch people learn from it.

In exchange for that input, BETA students get the workshop for close to half the eventual price.

Who it’s for

This workshop suits two kinds of people: those who’ve already done a beginner workshop or the Beginner’s Bookbinding Blueprint and want to go further, and anyone who has already done some basic bookbinding before. You will need to know at least how to prepare and sew a bookblock as this process won't be covered in the course.
