Thinking About Learning Bookbinding?
Start Here
It’s the start of a new year which means you might be craving something different.
Something slower. Something tactile. Something that lets you focus your hands and quiet your mind.
If you’ve ever thought about learning bookbinding, but felt unsure where to begin, this is for you.
You don’t need to be “crafty” to start
We hear it all the time — “I’m not creative enough for that,” or “I’d love to try but I’d probably mess it up.”
The truth? Bookbinding is less about being artistic and more about being interested & willing to try. If you like paper, love books, enjoy working with your hands, or just want a reason to slow down… you’re already halfway there.
Our approach is simple: show you the tools, walk you through the process, and give time for practise and questions. Mistakes are part of the process. Precision (not necessarily perfection) comes with time.
What you’ll learn
In our beginner course, we cover:
-
How to choose materials and tools
-
How to section sew a strong book block that lies flat
-
How to create a cover that doesn't 'stress' the spine
But what you’ll take away goes beyond the finished project.
You’ll start to see things differently. You’ll notice the way books are made, feel the difference between papers, maybe even begin keeping scraps or offcuts, just in case.
That shift in awareness is what keeps people coming back.
If you're ready to 'give it a go'. Beginners Bookbinding Blueprint is the perfect place to start. It’s completely self-paced and designed to help you dip your toe in without time pressure (You get lifetime access). All the lessons are pre recorded and you can watch them over and over again.
It’s open now, but only until 17th January.
