In the heart of Bendigo, upstairs in our bindery, we handcraft each leather book using the finest materials and time-honoured techniques. Every book is one of a kind — made to be held, used, and treasured for years to come.
This Classic Half Leather Journal pairs a striking Japanese screen-printed mulberry paper — inspired by traditional kimono patterns — with a spine and corners bound in smooth black leather. Each leather section is finished with hand-tooled detail, and the raised bands along the spine honour the tradition of fine bookbinding. Inside, the cream pages are lightly textured and section-sewn for strength. The SB Libris bookplate is set into the front, ready for a name or inscription.
Choose from blank or lined pages, depending on how you like to write. A beautiful gift for creatives, writers, or anyone drawn to pattern, detail, and tradition. Presented in our signature black gift box.
